The 2019 Volvo V60 Wagon Starts at $39,895 and Will Be Factory Order Only
The 2019 Volvo V60 Wagon Starts at $39,895 and Will Be Factory Order Only-December 2024

The all-new is a sleek-looking wagon that’s also pretty excellent to drive. Now we know it starts at just under $40,000, which is a solid value for a luxury car, but if you want one you will need to wait a bit. The V60 will only be available for order only.

Since the vast majority of American car buyers are flocking to crossovers and SUVs, Volvo is one of the few brands that is committed to offering a wagon body style in not one but two vehicle categories. The are the larger wagons and the V60 slots in below them. The V90 is for order only, too.

The V60 is currently available in T5 and T6 engine configurations and three trims: Momentum, R-design and Inscription. You can only get the top line Inscription with the T6 AWD configuration.

With a starting price of $39,895 for the T5 front-wheel drive Momentum Volvo seems to be undercutting competitive cars like the Audi A4 Allroad and BMW 3 Series Sportwagen that both start around $45,000. A T8 Hybrid model is in the works too, but pricing has not been released.

However, despite the fact that the T5 FWD Momentum comes with standard features such as City Safety, Panoramic Sunroof and Thor’s Hammer headlights in addition to , the Audi and BMW come standard with AWD. A more comparably equipped V60 would be the twin-charged T6 AWD Momentum that rings in at $44,395 and brings more power to the table.

Our man which is just like the V60, but with less wagon, and he said it seems that the R-Design is the one you really want as it best balances luxury and performance.

Given that Volvo knows there aren’t many wagon nuts willing to drop $40,000 or more on a new V60, and wagon people tend to want their car outfitted exactly how they like it, Volvo says the 2019 V60 “...will be offered exclusively via customer order production.” Don’t expect to see many of these on dealer lots, then.

For $7,999, Would This 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo Make For A Nice Anniversary Present?
Today’s Z once commemorated Nissan’s 50th year since its founding. Let’s see if this garish but great sports car’s price now is anything worth celebrating. Manual transmissions are generally less complicated than their automatic brethren, but they’re still a mess of meshing cogs, bearings, and hair’s breadth clearances that when...

For $2,400, You Could Finger The Bad Guys In This 2003 Ford Crown Vic P71 Interceptor
Old cop cars like today’s Crown Vic never die, they just move on after retirement to become taxis or maybe hipster hoopties. This one may have been dropped and primer’d but will its price warrant a look? It’s a rough time to be the Postal Service these days. Email and...

For $3,250, You Could Get Back Jack With This 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX Sportback
Pulsars are the universe’s disco lights. Today’s Nissan Pulsar might just light up your life, that is if its price doesn’t make you say good night. So, fully 55% of you wouldn’t pony up the paltry twenty-four hundred yesterday’s asked. What’s up with that? I get that the car was...

For $2,500 This 1982 Saab 900s APC Turbo Could Be A Sweet Swede
Today’s classic Saab is spec’d the way you’d want it, and one way you certainly wouldn’t. That’s a bum transmission, but will the rest of it, and its price, add up to a car that you still might see shifting into your driveway? Yesterday’s offered a siren’s call to likely...

For $17,500, Is This 2006 Maserati Quattroporte Worth It For The Exhaust Note Alone?
Today’s Maser offers the siren’s song of exotic Italian luxury, all for the price of a Kia. We’ll have to decide however, if that price is just the tip of the iceberg. Among the things that can be considered extraordinarily exasperating are extra innings in a ballgame, a massage in...

Have you ever wanted to drive a convertible pickup truck that is named like a superhero? If so, then today’s Skyranger might be the truck for you. That is, of course, if its price doesn’t prove super villainous. We had another squeaker yesterday. I would have preferred a moaner or...
