The Factory Kit Options For The 2022 Honda Civic Look Great-November 2024

2022 Honda Civic

The hatchback was just revealed and we’re already getting a great look at the catalog of additional extras Honda has designed for it. The details of the kit options available for at least the first model year of the Civic hatchback were shared to , where it was then spotted early by .

The available 18-inch wheels, front skirt and rear spoiler assemble to make for a fast-looking hatch without looking like an aisle from an auto parts store.

While the does not include a vast amount of information, it does at least give us an idea of what we’re supposed to be looking at in the large gallery of images of the new options that actually is included.

The release mentions a front lower skirt, tailgate spoiler, door mirror covers, 18-inch , an illuminated center console, exterior puddle projector lights and a redesigned door-sill side step “garnish,” as Google Translate puts it.

Since it showed up on the Japanese site, we should probably hedge our bets and wait for Honda to confirm if we’ll get the same kit for the U.S. market.

The minor front clip design treatment makes the new Civic look even more like its bigger sibling, the Accord, but that’s not at all a bad thing. Luckily the rest of the available options, like the wheel choice and spoiler, are tastefully sporty and help keep the smaller Civic a little more fun and distinct than its bigger near-twin.

I find it interesting that, even with all of the available factory kit thrown on, the new Civic hatchback still doesn’t look nearly as overdone and angularly all-over the place like the outgoing model. Not that the current car is bad, it’s just very, very different, and this new approach seems a little more refined. It’s also lost just a touch of charm, hasn’t it?

If someone is twenty-something and still living at home, working on their GED, a kind way to describe them is a work in progress. Today's twenty year old Celica All-Trac isn't presently working, and the seller hasn't made much progress towards getting there, but would its price make it worthy...

For $5,995, this T-Bird could be awesome, Bill
Bill Elliott - better known as Awesome Bill from Dawsonville - became a NASCAR darling driving the then-new Aero-bird stocker. Today's Thunderbird is a V8-powered homage to his Number Nine, but would buying it mean being presented with a not so awesome bill of sale? When you think about it,...

For $16,000, this repli-KITT has no kaboodle
The F-body Firebird may never have featured a Hofmeister kink in its roofline, but you could pretend to be Mr. Hasselhoff in today's Knight Rider replicar, and that would be kinky. The original Knight Rider made the eighties bearable, while the new century reboot was so lackluster that it made...

The impending end of the road for Ford's evergreen Crown Vic has police departments scrambling to as well as looking for alternatives. Today's Pinto squad car is pretty alternative, but does is its price make it all that and a box of donuts? My wife once bought a Nash Metropolitan...

For $25,000, this E21 is hardboiled
Easter may be over, but that doesn't mean cracking open today's egg-colored E21 wouldn't reveal some surprises. Will its price however, make you think the seller is cracked as well? Strangely, BMW's E21 never garnered the same kind of rabid following as did the precedent 2002, nor its successor, the...

For $5,950, this Durango is a Fairmont with Ranchero dressing
Ford sort of invented the concept of the car-based pickup with the 1925 introduction of the Model T Runabout with Pickup Truck Body. Despite those auspicious beginnings, by the end of the ‘70s Ford had basically ceded the category to Chevy and their El Camino. Today's Fairmont-with-a-bed is a non-factory...
