The Factory Kit Options For The 2022 Honda Civic Look Great-May 2024

2022 Honda Civic

The hatchback was just revealed and we’re already getting a great look at the catalog of additional extras Honda has designed for it. The details of the kit options available for at least the first model year of the Civic hatchback were shared to , where it was then spotted early by .

The available 18-inch wheels, front skirt and rear spoiler assemble to make for a fast-looking hatch without looking like an aisle from an auto parts store.

While the does not include a vast amount of information, it does at least give us an idea of what we’re supposed to be looking at in the large gallery of images of the new options that actually is included.

The release mentions a front lower skirt, tailgate spoiler, door mirror covers, 18-inch , an illuminated center console, exterior puddle projector lights and a redesigned door-sill side step “garnish,” as Google Translate puts it.

Since it showed up on the Japanese site, we should probably hedge our bets and wait for Honda to confirm if we’ll get the same kit for the U.S. market.

The minor front clip design treatment makes the new Civic look even more like its bigger sibling, the Accord, but that’s not at all a bad thing. Luckily the rest of the available options, like the wheel choice and spoiler, are tastefully sporty and help keep the smaller Civic a little more fun and distinct than its bigger near-twin.

I find it interesting that, even with all of the available factory kit thrown on, the new Civic hatchback still doesn’t look nearly as overdone and angularly all-over the place like the outgoing model. Not that the current car is bad, it’s just very, very different, and this new approach seems a little more refined. It’s also lost just a touch of charm, hasn’t it?

The 2019 Mazda Miata’s Extra Power Makes a Great Car Better
The isn’t completely revamped, but then again, it didn’t need that. Now, though, it is more powerful, more efficient, and basically just a tiny bump better. The car was already great, now it’s even more of a goddamn blast. (Mazda kindly flew me to San Diego and gave me a...

Geely Is Reaching Out to the Internet to Name Its New SUV, Which Is Always A Bad Idea
The internet doesn’t when it comes to naming vehicles, but that’s not stopping Geely, who is looking for an English name for its new SUV, known in Chinese as Bin Yue. Knowing how this usually goes, I’m sure SUVy McSUVface will look fantastic on a badge on the tailgate. Now,...

Buy This Manual Mercedes SLK So I Don't Have To
“You know what,” I often say to myself, “I’m really a Mercedes Man at heart.” This is an aspirational declaration, as I’m not actually sufficiently wealthy to afford the Benz that I want: manual, rear-wheel drive, with some power. Oh wait, I can afford that Benz. It’s just an SLK....

Would You Pay $24,900 for This 1998 Mercedes SL600, or Are You Yella’?
With its untraditional yellow paint and Lorinser bodywork, today’s W129 is sure to stand out. We’ll just have to see if it’s outstanding enough to justify its asking price. If you’re of a certain generation then ‘The Drifters’ probably elicits images of the R&B band of the same name that,...
