The Infiniti QX30 Concept Gains Some Ride Height, Looks Kind Of Badass-July 2024

I always liked the . It was one of those cars that blurred the lines between crossover and hatchback, putting it in a segment that's real hot right now, and it also looked pretty sharp. Now we get a look at the version that falls squarely on the crossover side of things, but it still looks cool.

Infiniti this morning dropped the first photo of their QX30 Concept, due to drop at the Geneva Motor Show next month. It's a thoroughly-revised version of the Q30 Concept, now with 30 mm of extra ride height and big 21-inch wheels.

Besides some buzzwords about the design that include "stylish protection" and "dual wave," Infiniti didn't put out any details about the crossover. But both the Q30 and the QX30 have been , and they're set to use the Mercedes A/CLA/GLA platform as well as a Mercedes 2.0-liter turbo four engine.

That's kind of funny, since it will also compete with the GLA. I guess you get to pick which bodystyle you like best. At any rate, it's a good move for Infiniti. They need more interesting, distinctive products, and this and the upcoming seem to be a good start.
