The Jeep Crew Chief Looks Like The Retro Jeep Truck Of Your Most Rugged Dreams
The Jeep Crew Chief Looks Like The Retro Jeep Truck Of Your Most Rugged Dreams-June 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:16

The Jeep Crew Chief will be one of seven crazy concepts the company trots out at the annual this month, and it looks like an awesome adaptation of the original Cherokee Chief design dumped on a new Wrangler chassis.

Earlier we saw the first glipse of the “so 2016" , but this year’s batch of Jeep concepts isn’t about to ignore the retro fans.

The 1970s Cherokee Chief is one of the only Jeeps to be considered “classic” without a seven-slat grille. And after getting such positive responses from fans on the and more recent , I think it’s pretty awesome that they’re doing another modernization for us this year.

No details yet beyond this teaser image, but based on this and the name “Crew” I’m guessing this will be a four-door pickup variant of the Wrangler with an early J-style face.

Easter Jeep Safari is an annual social gathering for Jeep nuts in “America’s rock-crawling capital” Moab, Utah. 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the event and the 75th anniversary of the Jeep brand as we know it, so I’ve got a feeling this will be a good year to go.

The whole thing goes down between March 19th and 27th, but the whole fleet of seven Jeep concepts should be unveiled by the 21st.

We’ll find out more in the coming weeks!

Aluminum Unibody For The 2017 Jeep Wrangler?
FCA head shed Sergio Marchionne said "my gut it tells me we'll still be building a steel truck in 2018," at yesterday's all-day investor meeting, but he acquiesced that he wants aluminum "in the portfolio," and didn't deny the Wrangler was the best place to put it. is speculating that...

Mater The Tow Truck Has An Evil Cousin That Destroys Drag Strips
What started life as a conservative, utilitarian 1947 Chevrolet pickup has been stretched, slammed, distorted, and overboosted into a delightfully offensive rolling coal rat rod from tuner truck hell. The truck is powered by a 1996 Ford Power Stroke diesel, maxing out at 42 pounds of boost to make 505...

Woman Goes Batshit Bonkers Trying To Catch A Fish
Remember your first time fishing? Maybe you were with somebody special, enjoying the halcyon surroundings of an alpine lake. Or maybe you just went absolutely nuts and screamed at the top of your lungs like this lady. (Turn your headphones down before you hit play.) Can't really tell if she's...
