2023-12-14 EST 02:30:51

In celebration of their decade in the industry, the Daytona Group in partnership with Standard Bank have joined forces to bring you five new state-of-the-art models which will be revealed at an exclusive super car launch this Thursday 28 November 2013.

These celebrations also mark the centenary birthday of Aston Martin and the 50th birthday of Formula 1 competitor McLaren.

“We are extremely excited to reveal five of our latest models to the South African market on our 10th birthday. The most exciting one is of course the McLaren P1, which has been described internationally as the car of the decade and recently sold out overseas with all 375 models worth R30 million each accounted for, so this is truly something special,” says CEO of Daytona Group, Justin Divaris.

The dashing Volcano Yellow McLaren P1 which arrived on Friday last week is the first ever P1 to land in South Africa. Unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, the McLaren P1 is equipped with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and an electric motor that together produce 674kW and 900Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.

Other models to be revealed on the night include the Rolls-Royce Wraith and three new models from Aston Martin: the Rapide S, Vanquish Volante and the V12 Vantage S.

“Standard Bank Private Banking’s philosophy is to provide exacting, bespoke and innovative solutions with uncompromising service. So we are proud to be partnering with Daytona Group on this exciting launch and to be hosting our top clientele at such an erudite event,” adds Donal van Hoogstraten, Head of Customer Financial Solutions at Standard Bank.

High-tech technology provided by Antfarm and LaserNet will be utilised for live streaming for those who will not be at the launch so they don’t miss out on all five spectacular reveals.

Look out for more images from the launch on Friday.
