Putting first responders on two wheels makes a lot of sense; bikes can get through congested traffic and even rough terrain much more quickly and easily than a van-based ambulance.

Blue-lighted bikers like this are in service all over the world, including the United States. But from the sound of the siren it seems like this particular video was caught in Europe. Everything else blurs by too fast to tell!

Obviously a biker paramedic won’t have as many lifesaving tools at their disposal, but in many medical emergencies expediency can be the difference between life and death.
