Revisiting the scene of a bad crash or even just the type of vehicle you crashed in can be pretty nerve-wracking. I mean, back in 2018 and I still get chills when I see one, so I feel like I have a bit of an understanding of what is experiencing when he climbs into in this Drivetribe video.
If you don’t remember, way back in 2017, entered the Rimac Concept One in a Swiss hill climb event. He made it up the hill without incident despite the absurd power levels of the Rimac . The car saved his life but was a total write-off.
Luckily, despite still being relatively early on in its journey as a company, Rimac wasn’t a write-off too and today the company has merged with Bugatti and is on the bleeding edge of max-performance EV technology.
While Hammond’s Nevera drive is certainly less dramatic than the last time, partly because he has a minder in the right seat and also because they’re on the alpine circuit of a test facility, you can still feel and see him processing the experience as he goes. If you’re looking for tire shredding, you won’t get it here, though you do see a sub-two-second launch which is cool.
Have any of you had a bad accident and had to revisit it after the fact? Was it the location that was tough to see again or maybe the vehicle? Let us know in the comments.
