Traffic Jams: The Hooters - 'And We Danced'
Traffic Jams: The Hooters - 'And We Danced'-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:12:03

I’m just gonna say it right off the bat: more songs need harmonic solos. This song is the perfect representation of it.

The ‘80s seemed like a simpler time for music. Bruce was doing his thing, Reagan was doing his (terrible) thing, and The Hooters were putting out some of the catchiest music of all time including “And We Danced,” a song that makes it impossible to not to get up and bop around the room.

“And We Danced” was featured onNervous Night, an album running almost head to toe with great songs. It makes me nostalgic for a time before I was even around. Is that weird? Probably, but I feel like you know what I mean.

This album, or at least itsinception also hits pretty close to home, since it was written in the Poconos by a band based in Philadelphia. I do love to rag on the Keystone State, but it was home to me for all four years of college. It’s also the place that gave me my very lovely girlfriend who is about to become my roommate.

Ya know what, I think I’m gonna play this song once we’re moved into our new place. It’s going to be a great time.

Friends, remember to dance with the ones you love.

It’s not that I’ve never noticed this before, but I guess it’s never been brought to my attention that Mercedes has a habit of putting an embarassingly large star smack in the middle of the grille, and then plopping one right above it at the leading edge of the...

I Asked An AI To Write An Article Like I Would And Here's What I Got
I’m sure you’ve all read articles about how very soon robots will be coming to take our jobs: self-driving cars taking our driving jobs, self-assembling machines taking our manufacturing jobs, self-eating food taking our restaurant jobs, self-internet surfing AIs taking our office jobs, and so on. I’ve always thought...

This Is What It's Like To Ride In The 1969 Baja 1000-Winning Ford Bronco
Only one four-wheel-drive vehicle in history has won the Baja 1000 overall, and it’s this one. Driven to the victory by Rod Hall and Larry Minor, the story goes that in those early days of the race there were hardly any roads and certainly no useful maps, making it...

Here's How To Remake Chrysler After The Fiat Chrysler-Peugeot-Citroën Merger
The news of the has gotten many of us here on the USS Jalopnuts pretty excited, not necessarily for rational reasons, but more because the idea of any French carmaker re-entering the U.S. market is interesting, and My first thought is that the biggest possible beneficiary of this merger...

The 2020 BMW M2 CS Sends Out The 2 Series With A Lot Of Carbon Fiber
Perhaps your opinion of the BMW 2 Series range has declined somewhat with the introduction of the new Ford Focus—I mean . Understandable! So if a Mini-based sedan isn’t your idea of what a 2 Series should be, consider this instead: the BMW M2 CS, the swan song for...

The 2020 Ford Bronco R Will Race At The Baja 1000
Fifty years ago, Rod Hall and Larry Minor drove to victory at the Baja 1000 in Ford’s now-iconic red, white, and black Bronco with a blue roll cage. Today, in the middle of the hot Nevada desert, Ford unveiled its retrofuturistic successor, the R, which in 15 days will...
