As if personalized and vanity license plates , folks might soon be able to add emojis to them, if this new Vermont bill passes. And I always thought Vermont was such a nice place.

Drivers will be allowed to add their choice of six emojis to their license plates, proposes a bill introduced in the Vermont House of Representatives, reports . It’s unclear which six emojis will be permitted, but as we truly live in hell, I’d like to appropriately volunteer the shit emoji (????), the barf emoji (????), the eggplant emoji (????), the skull emoji (????), the screaming emoji (????) and, my personal favorite, the cringe emoji (????).

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear Vermont policymakers envision a slapdash, emoji free-for-all, however. Per Business Insider:

Vermont isn’t about to allow all-emoji license plates any time soon. The bill specifies that any emoji would be “in addition to the 10 distinctive number assigned by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles or the numerals and letters selected by the registered owner of a vehicle as a vanity plate.” Right now, Vermont has a few rules for vanity plates. According to the , the plate cannot begin with “Z,” and no more than two numbers are allowed. “Dots, dashes or other special characters or symbols cannot be used,” but if the bill passes, that could change soon.

to add one of five emojis to their vanity plates. I was hoping the practice wouldn’t spread, but we don’t always get everything we want in life.

If this bill passes, it will indeed make Vermont the first state in the United States to adopt emojis in its license plates. Soon after, this could very well join Vermont’s other most notable U.S. contributions, a list which includes Bernie Sanders, Phish and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Tesla Won't Stop
Tesla Won't Stop
I’m old enough to remember when taking a short position on Tesla until, increasingly, , as Tesla’s stock soared and soared and soared. Tesla will be formally added to the S&P 500 on Monday. Expect its stock to soar some more. Tesla’s stock is up more than 60 percent...

Do you remember those Flash games the cool kids used to play in computer lab with the car paint and wheel selector? The car models were always badly rendered, and the wheels looked worse than used tuna can lids. Somehow, you could take those few pixels and still design...

In 1989, One Man Jumped Over 101 Cars In An Hour
Having not been alive during the 1980s, I’ve had to rely on hearsay from others as to what that whole situation was like. It appears to have been wild, an era where anyone could try to do anything because it’s the ‘80s. And nothing seems to epitomize that more than...

Naked Panda Man Rollerblading Down The Interstate Remains Unidentified
On Wednesday in which an unidentified man — we’ll call him ‘the protagonist’ — wearing nothing but an oversized panda costume head and rollerblades ripped his way down I-670 in Columbus, Ohio holding a selfie stick. The video appears to be from this week, which saw daily high temperatures...

What Makes A Racing Series Interesting?
The husband and I got into a very heated discussion about the nuance of what makes a motorsport series interesting that somehow devolved into the two of us comparing different disciplines to potatoes—which is beside the point—and I have not stopped thinking about it. It all kicked off because...

Watch The Insane Process Of Making A 1:150 Scale Tiny, Tiny RC Car
I honestly can’t tell if watching this video is soothing or if it fills me with tension, as I’m pretty sure I’m feeling both. Watching someone rig a tiny power Ackermann steering setup with tweezers and slice layers off plastic parts so thin you worry he may set off...
