Plenty of international automakers build vehicles in America, but apparently nobody gets into the spirt of this country like Volvo.
The Swedish company has been designing a "Ride For Freedom" truck to honor veterans on Memorial Day for years. Built at Volvo's New River Valley factory in Dublin, Virginia, this VNL 670 will roll with an entourage of about 175 motorcycles to the Capitol this weekend.
Graphics pay special tribute to prisoners of war and those missing in action. Hard to say what the bosses in Stockholm make of it... the Swedes are less inclined to emblazon things with their national colors than we are here in the US.
I think it's cool that the company is getting committing to the culture it's installed in. If anybody catches this thing in DC, get us a picture!
