I hope VW offers this color scheme as an option when the ID Buzz launches.

German automaker Volkswagen is on a mission to electrify its offerings. The car company has and . Now, VW has offered a glimpse at its next addition to the electric lineup: the ID Buzz bus.

The psychedelic-looking bus was teased during yesterday.

, all-wheel drive, a 111 kWh battery pack and a 0-60 time of 5 seconds.

The van that premiered had a nifty seating array that let its users rearrange the seats, twist them round and basically point them in whatever direction they wanted.

In the years since, VW has stuck pretty closely to the original design. It also confirmed that , in a long-wheelbase form factor.

In a , the ID Buzz is decked out in rainbow camouflage to hide certain styling details. The teased model has a wider grille than the initial renderings, in the familiar hexagonal pattern that adorns VW’s other electric vehicles. As with all modern-day electric concepts, up front, complete with aerodynamic-looking rims.

But this is just a glimpse, as VW says further details about the van’s launch will arrive next year.

What we can remain optimistic about is the upcoming van’s styling as realistic door handles, headlights and mirrors suggest this could be our closest look yet at the hippy van of the future.

VW has also and decked out in an array of sensors earlier this year.

I just hope VW offers that rainbow-colored camouflage pattern as a spec option. I would certainly lap that up.

2022 Acura MDX Type S: What Do You Want To Know?
Acura is on a mission to reinvent itself, injecting some much-needed performance into a brand that had lukewarm offerings at best. Part of that performance injection is bringing back the Type S label. While historically its been reserved for cars, it’s been absent from Acura for the last few...

At $8,000, Could This 1988 Yugo GVL Have You Laughing All the Way to the Bank?
The asking price on today’s Yugo is almost exactly twice the original MSRP from the model’s introduction in 1985. Let’s see if that price has you doubled over with laughter. I think the best word to describe yesterday’s heavily-modded is polarizing. Well, polarizing with muffled screams of horror over...

2022 BMW X3 M Competition: What Do You Want to Know?
is about as fat as its ever been. Right now, the company makes three M sedans, two M coupes, two M convertibles and four M crossovers. There are, of course, different variants within those models, but we don’t need to get into that, because it’s all a bit confusing....

Even Maserati Is Doing a 10-Year Drivetrain Warranty Now
We all know the age-old stereotype that keeps many of us from touching any Italian car with a 10-foot pole: they’re unreliable. It doesn’t help that the performance of many of these cars is impressive and can be had for cheap used. Mostly because buyers are wary to buy...

At $1,650, Would You Roll the Dice on This 1999 Mercedes SLK 230 ‘Mechanic’s Special?’
By all appearances, the complicated convertible hard top on today’s SLK seems to work as it should. The same can’t be said for the fuel system, however, making it a tow-away with a bargain price tag. Let’s see if it’s really worth breaking out the wrenches. Michael Cera has...

Genesis Debuts Pricing for Its Gorgeous 2023 G90 Flagship
Alright, so here’s the thing: Genesis is pretty much the most interesting car company operating right now. It’s one of the few companies that’s going its own way with exterior and interior styling, and it’s the first company since Lexus in the early 1990s to offer a meaningful challenge...
