Watch The Mortifying Pit Stop That Lost The Monaco Grand Prix
Watch The Mortifying Pit Stop That Lost The Monaco Grand Prix-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:32

Daniel Ricciardo was doing so well at the Monaco Grand Prix. He claimed Red Bull’s first pole position since 2013, and his first at Monaco. He managed to keep his lead for much of the Monaco Grand Prix itself, where the narrow street circuit makes passes extremely hard. Then he got hosed by his own pit crew.

Ricciardo was called into the pits, but his pit crew had no tires. It was an unbelievable screw-up for a team so desperate to start winning again, and a driver whose mad skills (and ) over the weekend were worthy of the top spot on the podium.

Watch one of the most disheartening moments in motorsports, complete with Ricciardo’s reaction after the race.

"Where's the tyres?" - Relive Red Bull's pit stop nightmare

Ricciardo’s horrified response after the Monaco Grand Prix says it all. “Right now, I don’t want to hear it,” he said. “I want to get out of here, to be honest.”

Vans will slide: fact. Codrivers are not good at drawing in a lumbering vehicle sliding around on a rally stage: also fact. The World Rally Championship put them to the test recently, and the results were, ah, predictable? Citroën driver Kris Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle took a Citroën Jumper...

Driving A Ferrari 458 On A Race Track Will Leave You Giggling All Day
For the average person, the easiest way to track a supercar is through a “supercar experience”-type program. Many of these let you loose on a real track in a supercar for a set number of laps. I tried out Xtreme Xperience’s Ferrari 458, and I’m not sure I wanted to...
