Watch These Hyper Rare Vietnam-Era Jets Light Up The Sky Over Oshkosh-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:14:20

It was a hell of a year for at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Not only did the USAF’s QF-4 perform at sunset, but one of the amazing demonstrations included an A-4, MiG-17 and the world’s only flyable F-100 Super Sabre ripping the skies apart in front of thousands of awestruck spectators.

One of the last USAF QF-4 Phantom Full Scale Aerial Targets performed at twilight in its Vietnam era paint scheme, with plenty of General Electric J79 racket and afterburner fire to go around.

The F-4 Phantom has flown for U.S. forces for 55 years, serving for the last couple of decades…

The world’s only flyable F-100 Super Sabre with its notoriously boisterous afterburner also got into the evening mood, with it screaming by the crowd for a few burner passes.

Maybe the biggest treat for 60’s era combat jet fans was the trio demonstration of an A-4 Skyhawk, MiG-17 Fresco and the lovely F-100 Super Sabre. It’s amazing how each turbojet engine has its own distinct sound and character.

Our good friends at shot the entire show, and these are just the highlights Oshkosh. Make sure to check out Airshow Stuff’s and page as well, they do

The F-35 Lightning II, the P-38 Lightning and the F-22 Raptor – which was originally named…

Everybody Fine After Giant British WWII 'Tallboy' Bomb Finally Blew Up In Poland
Everybody Fine After Giant British WWII 'Tallboy' Bomb Finally Blew Up In Poland
Going by what I know from Hollywood, the bomb-disposal community has a firm definition for the strategic technique of blowing up a bomb you can’t defuse: a controlled explosion. A Polish bomb squad just demonstrated what an uncontrolled explosion looks like, but thanks to them, nobody was hurt. Once upon...

Someone Please Stop Me From Buying This Two-Wheeled Death Machine
When I’m not riding motorcycles, I’m usually thinking about motorcycles, which in our modern buy-it-now instant gratification society usually means trying to find my next motorcycle. The old axiom contends that the correct number of motorcycles to own is X+1, where X is the number of motorcycles you currently...
