Aircraft boneyards, both large and small, are incredibly strange places. They evoke feelings of lost glory and man's short attention span when it comes to technology. Usually located in desert locales, the tension between mother nature's eye popping creations and mankind's rotting ones is palpable. These atmospheric tenants and the sheer history that is locked behind their razor wire topped chain-link fences combine to make striking visuals, especially when presented in time-lapse form.

Photographer Andrew Breeze takes us into the USAF's 2,600 acre located at Davis Monthan AFB in Tuscon, Arizona and relays the dramatic mood surrounding America's 5,000 aircraft strong "ghost air force" with unbelievable emotion:
