Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Nov. 29-30, 2014
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Nov. 29-30, 2014-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:48

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

The pinnacle of endurance racing is still racing: the World Endurance Championship, and just for this weekend. The 6 Hours of Sao Paulo will be with Audi Sport Team Joest, as Tom Kristensen will retire from the sport after this weekend. With nine Le Mans wins to his name, this certainly marks the end of an era. The LMP2 driver's and team's titles are also up for grabs at this race.

Following Audi Sport Team Joest teammate Allan McNish's strategy of "quit when you're ahead,"…

Of course, we don't get that on television. There's a of some sort if you'd like to watch qualifying and the race through the WEC's site and/or live timing app, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be six hours of free air time on TV for the only top-level show left in motorsports. How is this not more compelling television than Christmas infomercials again?

World Rallycross is the other straggler, hosting the second day of its finale in Argentina today. Petter Solberg already claimed the top class championship, but the teams' championship and lower classes' championship are all still to be determined this weekend. Expect all of the high-flying antics we know and love from rallycross and nice a free stream.

If you know about anything we missed, or about good livestreams out there, let us know in the comments below.
