Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Oct. 22-23, 2016
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Oct. 22-23, 2016-July 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:28

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

Would you look at that! It’s already time for the U.S. Grand Prix again. Where did the year go? and myself will be at Circuit of The Americas this weekend to bring you the fun, hopefully without this time around. Lewis Hamilton has won three of the four events hosted there, so, yeah, there’s that.

In an effort to either prove myself very wrong or very right in always saying that Formula One is predictable, I’m . We’ll see how that goes.

There isn’t too much other live racing on this weekend, but the stuff that’s on will be a good show. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Sprint Cup Series are restrictor-plate racing at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday and Sunday, which usually means a lot of wrecks and a crapshoot of a winner. Oh, and it’s also a cutoff race for . Only eight of the 12 remaining drivers will continue on after this race.

The MotoGP World Championship race on Phillip Island will go to all hours of the night, and it’ll be on beIN. That’s the only stream we’ve got so far for the weekend, so please add some in the comments if you’d like.

And, as always, if you know of any additional events going on this weekend, please feel free to share in the comments below.
