What Do You Want To Know About The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo MC?
What Do You Want To Know About The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo MC?-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:09:53

In terms of dinosaurs, the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo kind of is one, as the first GranTurismo came out in 2007. Surprisingly, you can still buy one new today and you know what? It’s still pretty good. Especially the sound.

I’ve got the gray GranTurismo in the photo above for the weekend. Inside it is awash in black leather, silver stitching, Alcantara and carbon fiber. Its 4.7-liter, 454 horsepower naturally aspirated (YES) V8 engine snarls and screams like something vicious. We tested it, filmed it and will show you shortly.

I emailed Maserati for the car’s Monroney sticker, so while we wait, I went on the Maserati website and spec’ed out the MC as closely as I could. Carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber aero package, tooled aluminum pedals—the thing came out to nearly $180,000.

So! That all being said, what do you want to know about it?

Maserati sent the sticker, which informs me that the car totals $150,570. I guess I’m too for my own good.

Manual Hatchback Prices Are Creeping Up; They're Onto Us
Enthusiasts have long since taken advantage of the fact that manual options on cars are generally cheaper than their automatic counterparts. We’d pay less money for more fun, especially if the car in question was a hatchback. It was a bulletproof deal, but now it seems that prices for these...

Become a '60s Speed Demon With This CanAm Lola
The SCCA and CASCCanadian American Challenge, known colloquially as CanAm, was an incredible piece of the 1960s American motorsport landscape. The series had essentially zero rules regulating how teams should build their cars. Crazy lightweight open-top jobs started showing up to compete with all manner of huge American V8s powering...

Please Consider This Set of Lightly Used Bugatti Veyron Wheels for $100,000
There are a lot of things a person can do with $100,000, should that person be fortunate enough to have $100,000 at their disposal. They could use it as a huge downpayment on a house, put a kid through college with one transaction, or, if we’re being truly practical, buy...

At $7,000 Would You Drop the Hammer on This 2004 Mini Cooper MC40?
If the references to Paddy Hopkirk and 33 EJB mean anything to you, then you’ll no doubt also get today’s Mini MC40. That’s because it’s a homage to the Monte Carlo rally winning Minis of the ‘60s. Let’s see if you also can dig its price. Okay, I want to...

At $15,000, Could This 1979 Ford F150 4X4 Short-Bed Make Your Shortlist?
The seller of todays’ F150 says that it was renovated to give to his grandkids, but was turned down by the ungrateful little snots. Let’s see if it’s now priced to have buyers do the same thing. They used to say that “the sun never sets on the British Empire.”...

If you’re tired of electric cars that seem like they’re trying too hard to stand out, the goes the opposite direction with humble performance, practical packaging and the styling of a middle-aged Kia Soul. ( Kia wanted me to drive the new 2019 Niro EV so bad it flew me...
