Why Buy A Bugatti Centodieci When You Can Have This F-16 Fighter Jet For Less?
Why Buy A Bugatti Centodieci When You Can Have This F-16 Fighter Jet For Less?-March 2024

Well not this F-16 exactly, but supposedly one similar

The $8,878,800 (plus tax!) list price of the really makes you think. The fact that there’s a market for such a preposterous toy is a pretty clear indicator that some people are too rich. Then again–why would you park among peasants in one of these when I could hook you up with an F-16 jet for less?

But actually–I was trawling Facebook thinking about Bugattis mere moments ago when I saw jet for sale in Palm Beach, Florida with an asking price of $8,500,000. (Call Russ if you want it, but I bet he knows what he’s got.)

“One is from the future and looks like it’s from the ’80s,” my colleague Raphael Orlove observed. And “the other is from the ’80s and looks like the future.” Indeed, the Centodieci is an homage to the Bugatti EB110, borrowing some of its design elements and ostensibly supposed to be just as epic.

The airplane ad is hilariously vague, but I guess you’d have to know what you’re looking at to be in the market for a fighter jet anyway. As to whether or not it’s a good deal, well, the U.S. government is from the Bulgarian government for eight F-16s, so $208,750,000 apiece. Yeah, I’m going to go ahead and guess that that one in Flordia needs a little more than an A/C recharge.

Be that as it may, it’d still be a more baller accessory sitting in your garage than a nearly-nine million dollar Bugatti. As long as you have a really big garage. Or, like, a theme restaurant to park it in.

but it’s not as user-friendly.

Hat tip to Leo!

1981 Toyota FJ40: The Jalopnik Classic Review
Once upon a time, trucks were trucks. All you got was a metal box with some seats and rudimentary controls; a thing to be battered, broken, and fixed repeatedly. Adding 4-wheel-drive was just a way to abuse these glorified carts in the gnarliest terrain imaginable. Land Rovers and Jeeps may...

Hide Your Kids, Hide Your Wife: Unstoppable Prius Out-sells Camry, Ford F-Series Trucks
Do Jalopnik readers need any bigger of a sign that the world is ending than the Toyota Prius being a bigger seller than the Camry and the Ford F-series? Don't worry, it's only in tree-hugging, import-loving California. For now, though. The that the entire Prius line – that's the hatch,...

Well, while today's custom Mustang has been similarly blunted, it'll be up to you to determine if its price manages to make the cut. Daaaaamn, haters, you're not giving anything a...

Back in the good old days, a nickel used to buy you a night on the town with your best gal, including a trolley ride, tickets to the latest Clark Gable film and the post-coital pack of cigarettes. Now it doesn't even cover 15 minutes in a downtown parking meter....

You're in the army now, you're not behind a plow. You wouldn't need to be rich, to buy this Dodge with a hitch. You just need to vote right now. In the military, structure, symmetry, and discipline are the dictates that are mandated to ensure cohesion. Loose canons or odd...
