World's Most Rust-Tacular Buick Gets Hacked Out Of Bush, Mated To Corvette
World's Most Rust-Tacular Buick Gets Hacked Out Of Bush, Mated To Corvette-July 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:37

Hack some rusty cool car out of an overgrown junkyard, then affix all the cool body stuff to a somewhat usable frame. It’s a dream I’ve always wanted to follow and it’s exactly what Roadkill did with what might be the world’s worst Buick and an also-horrible ‘70s Corvette.

They pulled a ‘56 Buick Special, out of a thorn bush in some Tennessee junkyard and mounted it on a two-foot-stretched frame of a ‘73 Corvette they chopped up in the same spot.

The project isn’t done yet, and it looks like it’s going to be a totally awful rusty turd. But it’s going to look badass and it’s going to run. That counts as rescuing these otherwise-doomed vehicles, and that’s good in my book.

How Fixing Even The Smallest Defect Can Make Your Old Car Feel Like New
Some days, starting my 1997 318ti is less “sheer driving pleasure” and more “dammit, now what?” I used to get frustrated about running into one (or more) of the failings in my hatch, but I’ve made peace with the fact that things are bound to break in my beater...

How I Fixed A Broken Sunroof In One Of The Most Unreliable Cars Of The Modern Era
there was one thought constantly hanging over my head: “Winter is coming.” The sleeper of a sedan has some pressing issues, like a misfire, and annoyances like a front passenger door that’s entirely the wrong color. However, the most important issue to me is that the entirety of the...

I Finally Changed The Cabin Air Filter In My Car And It Was Just The Filthiest Goddamn Thing
Look, I’m not proud of this. It was a couple of oil changes ago when the Jiffy Lube guy suggested I change the cabin air filter. I think he quoted me $50 to do so, though I said it wasn’t necessary. I still smoked at the time, and it...
