Since 2011, Ducati is manufacturing sports motorcycles under the Panigale name, chosen after the small town of Borgo Panigale. In 2014 Ducati released the new 1199 Panigale model that carries on the family torch, and like its previous version, it does not disappoint. It has the unmistakable Italian thoroughbred design and styling, and the shape and flowing lines that make it an aggressive-looking motorcycle.
The 2014 Ducati 1199 Panigale runs with the 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine, that was able to produce 195 hp at 10,750 rpm and a torque of 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm.
Like all the Panigale members of the family, the 2014 Panigale had the same aluminum monocoque frame that used the engine as a stressed member. The 2014 model weighs 166 kg (366 lbs) dry.
In the suspension department, the model used a Marzocchi 50 mm pressurized and fully adjustable USD fork at the front and a fully adjustable unit at the rear.
At the front wheel, there were two 330 mm semi-floating discs, and the back gets one 245 mm disc, with the Brembo calipers pushing on both. The black 10-spoked wheels were married to a pair of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires.
Ducati 1199 Panigale was for sale in 2022 with a price starting from $11,000.
