The Ducati 1299 Panigale is a sport motorcycle and the successor of the 1199 Panigale. In 2014, the S was unveiled at the Milan Motorcycle Show and started being made in 2015. The wheelbase remains unchanged, and all models of the range are equipped with a new generation of electronics.
AS said, in 2015 Ducati released the new 1299 Panigale S. The S version, as opposed to the base model, has a new semi-active Ohlins Smart EC suspension, switchable between different driving modes.
The muscle power of the new 2015 Panigale S comes from the 1299cc Superquadro Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine that develops a brute force of 205 hp at 10,500 rpm and 140 Nm (107 lb-ft) of torque. The burned fuel and oxygen are pushed through a 2-1-2 catalytic converter with two lambda sensors and are lowered in decibels by twin stainless steel mufflers with aluminum caps.
The monocoque frame used since 2011 is doing a great job minimizing weight and offering more rigidity to the bike. For suspension, the 2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale S has a semi-active Ohlins NIX30 43mm fully adjustable USD fork on the front and a semi-active, fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit on the rear.
Front and back, the Panigale S has a 3-spoke W shape forged light-alloy wheels stuck together to a pair of Pirelli Supercorsa SP tires delivering the grip needed.
The 2015 Panigale S model was for sale in 2022 starting from $15,000.
