Nicki Thiim in the No. 95 Aston Martin Vantage V8 went for a slow roll after contact with Simon Dolan’s No. 38 G-Drive Racing LMP2 at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. At least Thiim was able to land on his wheels.

“Anyone who’s ever flipped a car before knows that’s not a bad roll,” said John Hindhaugh, a World Endurance Championship commentator. That’s accurate—the car just hit the barrier at the wrong angle.

I mean, it’s bad in the sense that the No. 95 Aston was damaged, but driver Nicki Thiim was able to get out shortly afterwards once the car landed on its wheels.

Fortunately, Thiim was okay, however, Dolan’s team was given a 2-minute stop and go penalty for causing the accident.
