Autobild reports that Audi is working on a small tech driven SUV called the Audi A2Q, which is set to launch in 2018.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show three years ago, Audi introduced the A2 concept which was meant to be a successor to its A2 model. However until now, that idea was scrapped because apparently Audi thought it would cost too much money to develop such a car.
The report further states that Audi considered the use of Q2 or Q4 for the cars name, but cant because both of those are trademarked by Alfa Romeo. Set to rival the BMW i3, the model will ride on the MQB platform of the VolkswagenGroup, which is also shared with the Audi A3. The A2Q is also rumoured to be powered by an electric powertrain with a massive 500 km range.
In addition to this, Autobild is reporting that Audi is developing an electric version of their upcomingQ6 SUV which will also be offered as an EV with as much as 700 km of battery range, and may be launched in 2017.
