Nissan and both used Sebring to test this week, as the bumpy, older surface of the track makes for a good representation of what to expect at Le Mans. Unfortunately, the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO was sent packing before the end of their test due to a broken carbon fiber piece on the car.

According to , Marc Gené and Olivier Pla were able to get a limited number of laps in on Monday and Tuesday, completing an estimated total of around 25 laps total between the two of them. The car was running well until the break.

Jann Mardenborough, Harry Tincknell and Max Chilton arrived yesterday evening and were scheduled to test the car later in the week, however, a carbon piece broke that the team was unable to repair on site.

"This is the car we intend to take to the (FIA WEC) prologue at Paul Ricard at the end of the month," team spokesman Paul Ryan told . "Now, we are looking whether we can find an opportunity to put in an additional test between now and Paul Ricard."

The test was clearly ended too early for Nissan's liking, and while the team made some progress and got some good seat time out of it, they'd prefer to have more testing done before the official World Endurance Championship preseason test at Circuit Paul Ricard.
