Come Hang Out With Us At Jalopnik's Austin F1 Party On Friday, Oct. 23!-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:37

It’s that time of the year again, which means that many of you will be descending upon Austin to watch the Formula One United States Grand Prix. This Friday evening, you should come party with us at . The queso is warm, the beer is cold and perhaps most importantly: .

This is the same venue as our for Lone Star Le Mans: directly north of the University of Texas campus. We had a good turn-out then, and all the awesome support races wrap up much earlier in the day than they did for Lone Star Le Mans, so I expect even more of you to show up this time.

Posse East, 2900 Duval St., Austin, Texas, 78705 — at the corner of Duval and San Jacinto, in the end of a little strip of store fronts.

We’ll start at around 8:00 p.m. on Friday and stay until they throw us out.

Two Jalopnik Austin staff members — Black Flag editor Stef Schrader and our new weekend editor Alanis King — will be there for sure, along with numerous friends of Jalopnik. (This includes you.)

In addition to street parking all around the building, there’s also UT garage parking if the weather actually gets that bad.

So will the rest of us. The dress code’s casual (read: nonexistent), so don’t feel like you need to go out of your way to dig out the four-inch stillettos from your hotel. Just show up and have a good time with other like-minded car nuts.

This could be you!

See you there!

Honda’s Reliability Problems Just Took Out One Of The Indy 500 Leaders [Update: And Another]
