Corvette Racing Pulling No. 63 C7.R From Le Mans After Crash
Corvette Racing Pulling No. 63 C7.R From Le Mans After Crash-March 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:41

After Jan Magnussen’s crash at the Porsche Curves during today’s second qualifying session, the No. 63 Corvette C7.R is being pulled from the 24 Hours of Le Mans due to the extent of the damage.

Magnussen was checked out and released by the ACO medical staff, but the same couldn’t be said for his car, which sustained massive damage to the right front and side of the car. Corvette Racing doesn’t have a spare chassis on hand, which means the No. 63 car had to be withdrawn.

“We are disappointed that the No. 63 Corvette C7.R will be unable to compete at Le Mans this year,” Mark Kent, Director of Chevrolet Racing, . “The Corvette Racing team put a lot of work into two C7.Rs for this event, and unfortunately only one will be in the race.”

This will be the first time Corvette Racing has ever had to pull an entry at Le Mans.

Engine Problems Take Out Another Championship Contender At Talladega
These engines just don’t want to cooperate, do they? Much in line with the luck of NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers so far this year, Brad Keselowski joined Martin Truex Jr. in the Talladega Superspeedway garage for a blown engine. Keselowski led parts of the race prior to...

We Went Looking For Cats At The Austin Formula One Race
During a long break in track action at the United States Grand Prix on Friday, my colleague decided it was a good idea to tell me, a crazy cat lady, that there may be about a dozen feral cats at Circuit of The Americas. Drop the laptops. Drop the blogs....

The Formula One Drinking Game That Will Probably Kill You

Lewis Hamilton Takes Least Surprising Win Ever In Texas
Lewis Hamilton Takes Least Surprising Win Ever In Texas
Lewis Hamilton wins off a pole position start, right ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo comes in third place, and shoe-drinking happens anyway. Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel comes in fourth. Those are the things that happened at the U.S. Grand Prix. None of this shocks us, but we...
