Creeper On 'Mission From God' Allegedly Stalked Taylor Swift After Austin's F1 Concert
Creeper On 'Mission From God' Allegedly Stalked Taylor Swift After Austin's F1 Concert-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:28

Austin police are searching for a man they say stalked Taylor Swift after her Formula One weekend performance at Circuit of the Americas, reports the . The man allegedly attempted to corner Swift by her private jet and violated a Kansas restraining order by sending emails to Swift’s father.

Police filed a warrant to arrest 39-year-old Frank Allen Hoover for following Swift’s motorcade from the track to an Atlantic Aviation Fixed Base Operations hangar at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, where Swift’s jet was preparing to depart.

Hoover allegedly tried to get a photo with Swift and came as close as 50 feet from the singer, despite a restraining order issued in Kansas that forbids him from coming within 500 feet. Additionally, he asked employees at the hangar about the jet and even claimed to one that he’d like to take a photo with Swift and possibly travel with her on the jet.

Additionally, Hoover allegedly sent approximately 30 emails to Taylor’s father Scott Swift between Aug. 28 and Oct. 27 “about random topics including God, Satan’s lies, forgiveness and job opportunities.”

Hoover acknowledged that he was violating the protective order in emails, but also claimed to be on a mission from God. The Statesman writes:

In a Sept. 16 email, Hoover wrote that God told him that he and Swift would fix the world by making it more efficient and peaceful. “Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she’ll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart.”

That’s taking Taylor Swift’s infamous break-up lyrics just a bit too seriously, bro.

Hoover’s emails became more threatening after he failed to see her after the Austin F1 concert. One included an attached photo with “A whore named Satan dies” written over Taylor’s face, reports the Statesman.

Swift’s concert boosted United States Grand Prix weekend attendance to , but I think it’s safe to say we’d all be fine if that guy hadn’t come.
