How to Watch Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, and Everything Else in Racing This Weekend, July 29-31-January 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:49

AJ Allmendinger takes victory at the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Verizon 200.

Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, how to watch this weekend’s Formula 1, IndyCar, and NASCAR racing, and where you can talk about it, all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

It’s one of my new favorite weekends of the year: that weekend when IndyCar and NASCAR compete at the same track during the same weekend. It’s nice to be in a place where these two series can coexist without actively trying to out-race the other.

We’re also heading into the tail end of the Formula E season. This weekend’s doubleheader at the indoor-outdoor ExCeL London circuit will provide some serious definition to the currently going on between Stoffel Vandoorne, Edoardo Mortara, Mitch Evans, and Jean-Eric Vergne. It also looks like we’re going to be getting the races aired live here in America!

Finally, we’re also heading into the final Formula 1 race before summer break: the Hungarian Grand Prix. Whatever your thoughts about this particular track, I would strongly advise you tune into my new podcast, the Donut Racing Show, after the fact. (Yes, that is a cheap plug. You can find it on , , and anywhere else you get your podcasts.)

Is there anything we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments!

News: Racing Driver Needs To Be Mildly Aroused Before Driving A Race Car
Jalopnik must apologize for our grave error , in asserting grid girls are not necessary—and even, possibly, harmful!—to racing. We were so very wrong because, as we recently learned from , male drivers need to see beautiful women in order to operate a car. We argued last Thursday that F1...

Not Even This Insane Truck Cartwheel Can Stop A Stadium Super Truck
If there’s one clip that shows why Stadium Super Trucks are the greatest, please consider this epic roll from Lake Elsinore this weekend. Or, you know, how the truck just lands on its wheels and keeps going. (Skip to about 10:40.) Stadium Super Trucks went Lake Elsinore this weekend to...

Of Course Women Are Strong Enough To Race Against Men
A few months ago, a race promoter with an aggressive marketing platform, a GT spec program, and a promise that all expenses would be paid. The catch? The series was for women only, and I wouldn’t be allowed to continue to compete in IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge or any...
