How to Watch NASCAR, Formula 1, ARCA and Everything Else in Racing This Weekend, October 8-9-February 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:48

NASCAR’s 2021 Bank of America ROVAL 400.

Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, how to watch this weekend’s NASCAR, Formula 1, and ARCA racing, and where you can talk about it, all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

We’re reaching the end of the 2022 racing season, which means our TV scheduling is slowing down. That might be a good thing after last weekend’s action-packed schedule with NASCAR, F1, IMSA, and MotoGP. The weather is nice here in Texas, so I’ll finally have my chance to take care of some yard work and to prepare my house for winter. That is, if I’m actually up to do manual labor after a long weekend of middle-of-the-night F1.

Is there anything we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments!

Honda’s Reliability Problems Just Took Out One Of The Indy 500 Leaders [Update: And Another]
This is not Honda’s year to build a reliable engine in open-wheel, single-seater race cars. Ryan Hunter Reay, one of Fernando Alonso’s Andretti teammates, just had his engine fail with a huge THUNK. Hunter-Reay has the first Honda engine to go kaput during today’s Indianapolis 500 race. Sadly, 2014 Indianapolis...

49-Year-Old Man Spins Out And Crashes In The Middle Of The Indianapolis 500 [Updated]
The 1996 Indianapolis 500 winner and in today’s Indianapolis 500, Buddy Lazier, just crashed out of the race. Sadly, his shoestring-budget, family supported run has come to the end this year in a big spin into the wall. Lazier has been taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, as he complained...

I Just Saw Fernando Alonso And He Is As Dreamy As You’d Think
I’m really not the biggest Fernando Alonso fan out there, but that didn’t matter when the Spanish Formula One driver walked past me at the Indianapolis 500. I was no match for his dreamy aura. There I was, minding my own business near pit lane at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, when...

Huge Indy 500 Wreck Somehow Only Eats Five Cars
Just moments after to bring out the yellow flag at the Indianapolis 500, five cars wound up in a massive crash with less than 20 laps to go in the race. Between engines blowing and cars crashing, it doesn’t seem like we’ll have much of a field left by the...

With a several late-race passes over leader Max Chilton and a fierce battle for the win with Helio Castroneves, Takuma Sato won the 2017 Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His car was the Andretti Honda engine that could... actually survive the race. The race was full of wrecks and...

Fernando Alonso Out Of Indy 500 After Honda Engine Fails
Fernando Alonso’s engine abruptly failed on lap 179 of 200 during today’s Indianapolis 500, taking him out of the race. Alonso, who opted to race in the Indy 500 instead of the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix because his Honda-powered F1 car was so , had the third Honda engine...
