You’ve experienced in my stories on paper, and enjoyed . Now, for the next week, I’ll be at it again. But this time you can roll with me, in real time! You’ll either witness history... or a very expensive failed experiment.

The 2016 NORRA Mexican 1000 Baja race starts out in Ensenada on Saturday, April 23rd with the finish line and afterparty in Cabo San Lucas on Wednesday, April 27th.

Today we’re taking a wing of Ford Raptors all the way down the peninsula to cover the race, the place, and any trouble we can get into live via satellite.

The feed below should start rolling Saturday, April 23rd at 1:00 p.m. PST. So go ahead and bookmark this page and keep circling back for the next few days.

Four camera teams will be covering the race in total; one at the start and finish, one in a helicopter, and two on the ground eating sand and soaking up the action from the front lines in between. Somebody in a control center will figure out which to stream at any given time.

My colleagues and I will be in the trenches, running up and down the course looking for sweet, sweet content.

So what will you see while you’re watching? Well, I hope a lot of great action and interesting interactions. Possibly me squealing like a ten-year-old if I see a scorpion. Maybe just a bunch of guys sitting in lawn chairs drinking Tecate. Anything could happen; it’s live, baby.
