Chris Short, Domenic Senger-Schenck, and Laurence Cameron are en route from Afghanistan to West Sussex, England. They're trying the 4,600 mile journey with a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser and Honda Varadero 1000cc motorcycle, both heavily modified

Now managing his own security consultancy in Afghanistan, Chris wanted to make a symbolic journey to encourage other former UK veterans to make the readjustment to civilian life. Chris was medically discharged from Royal Marines in 2006 after eight years of service and has been actively involved in supporting injured soldiers since.

Driving the support vehicle, an expedition prepared Toyota Land Cruiser, is American lawyer Domenic Senger-Schenck. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Domenic has travelled extensively and lived in Morocco, Nepal, and China. As a recovering electrical engineer, Domenic returned to law school to seek a life of adventure and debt, bringing him inevitably to Afghanistan where he has worked as a commercial attorney for the past two years.

Documenting the trip will be Laurence Cameron who is an Afghanistan-based television producer. Since 2010, Laurence has spent his time running television and radio recruitment campaigns for the Afghan National Army, alongside producing several documentaries on the Afghan Special Forces. He is currently a video journalist for NATO TV.

The team will be self-sufficient with all vehicle spares, tools, tents, supplies and equipment carried on or in the vehicles.

No Lemon, a vehicle servicing organisation operating in Afghanistan, are in charge of vehicle maintenance, vehicle preparation and vehicle presentation for the trip. Both vehicles were sourced and bought in Kabul. During the pre-trip phase the team will be intensely preparing for what will be a challenging trip, including vehicle 'shake downs', off road training, Hostile Environment Awareness and Medical First Responder training. They will also be securing sponsorship deals and preparing the vehicles with sponsorship branding.
