NASCAR is hosting a theme party at this weekend’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway this weekend, complete with old logos and Anchorman-grade suits for the television broadcast. Check out some of the cool retro liveries that will grace the cars this weekend.

The Southern 500 regained its traditional Labor Day weekend date this year, hence the celebration. If there’s one thing a bunch of southerners know how to do, it’s a theme party.

Brad Keselowski, for example, gains an upgrade from Miller Lite to Miller High Life on his car.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. brought the classy gold roof back on his #17 Cargill Ford, which now looks like it wants to be an old David Pearson car.

Austin Dillon’s #3 American Ethanol Chevrolet went all-in and added a “” to his car during practice. (Oopsie.)

Kevin Harvick not only has this spectacularly golden livery on the number 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet, but he also has the racing suit to match!

He’s not the only one looking dapper in his old-school finest.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was dressed to match his spiffy Valvoline livery.

Clint Bowyer matches his Buddy Baker tribute car, making it look like Kyle Busch missed the memo somewhere.

Kyle Larson even sports a period-appropriate mustache.

Joey Logano’s #22 Shell Pennzoil Ford even sports several vintage sponsor logos.

It’s impossible not to like the groovy stripes on Paul Menard’s car, though.

Even Goodyear is running an old-style stencil on the tires this weekend, and will feature actual Polaroids all weekend long. Hooray non-instant photography!
