Watch it with those giant track dryers next time, guys. USA Today NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck reports that we may have had an extra pace car lap or two because of a self-inflicted mess along pit road.

It’s hard to tell if these were items left behind by fans or the usual flotsam of items that teams and their guests keep along the pit wall. Either way, we’re glad everything’s finally been dried and cleaned up for the race to begin.
