Never mind the loose wheels rolling around SS1 of Rally de Portugal. They’ll be picked up eventually.
Eric Camilli’s Fiesta lost not one, but two wheels when he smacked the wall during the first stage of the rally, which were then left rolling on course until the next car could come through.
Fortunately, no cars were harmed by the rolling, centerless wheels, although the shunt did make Camilli the dead-last, entrant for the stage.
The wheels were, in fact, picked up shortly afterwards so they wouldn’t roll into any trouble.
