Rally Fans Watch As Their Favorite Driver Crashes Before Their Eyes
Rally Fans Watch As Their Favorite Driver Crashes Before Their Eyes-February 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:45

This is impossibly sweet.

Here we see a bunch of fans of VW's Jari-Matti Latvala singing — actually singing — in praise of their favorite Flying Finn as he approaches in his Polo WRC car. And just as Jari-Matti passes his fans, he starts to slide off the road. JML nearly gets away with it. Nearly.

What's sweet is that as the car comes to a rest, you can already see swarms of fans rushing to his aid.

Jari-Matti lost eight minutes in this off, losing him a shot at the overall victory for the rally. It's a shame; he had very much been anticipating a win here in his fight for the 2015 championship.

Still, I can't help but smile when I see his singing fans run over to give him help.

(Hat tip to !)
