The SCCA national championship race weekend, known as the runoffs, was held at Road Atlanta from 1971 until 1993. They're always super competitive races and quite exciting. The 1980 Formula Ford runoff had 39 cars, and an enterprising YouTuber has uploaded the whole thing to show us what it was like when men were men.

This race features David Hobbs on commentary, a young John Paul Jr. and Chip Ganassi racing, and some crazy three wide passes.
