Stewart Ends Crazy Last-Lap NASCAR Battle By Putting Hamlin In The Wall
Stewart Ends Crazy Last-Lap NASCAR Battle By Putting Hamlin In The Wall-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:31

Sonoma Raceway proved once again why it’s one of the most interesting races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule. Holy crap, the last lap delivered.

First, Denny Hamlin finally got around Tony Stewart after having carefully whittled away at Stewart’s lead. Less than a lap was left, and it was now or never.

Stewart wasn’t going to let his opportunity to end his 84-race winless streak go that easily, though. He retires this year, and he’s not holding back on anything nowadays.

So, he nudged Hamlin into the wall on the last hairpin turn of the race when the two cars were side-by-side. It was a fittingly insane ending to an action-packed race.
