The Lamborghini Jarama was good. Like most good Lamborghinis, it wore lines by Marcello Gandini over the famous V12. That’s the basic formula. But the Jarama was more than that.

It was rude. It was angular. It had some of the best moving headlights in the business. It’s the kind of car you buy to make an impression. Not as the guy with the Lamborghini, but as the guy who didn’t buy the standard choice. And it really wasn’t a standard choice. They only managed to sell fewer than 180 of them during the whole model run.

Some of you might point out that other Gandini-designed cars from the same era, like the , look similar, and that the Jarama is far less practical than its Espada sibling, but let’s be real. This car is rare, and it’s damn cool.

is a black-over red 1972 Jarama S and it’s for sale on Hemmings. The car reportedly spent its life in the Bay Area, which probably bodes well for the bodywork, even if the paint looks a little less than lustrous. The odometer reads 45,965 miles so it’s been driven a bit. The asking price is a little below $120,000. That’s not cheap, but neither are you, right?

I’m sure you could move some things around to make it work and fit this car into your garage. Just give it some thought, okay?

The Charger Hellcat Is The Most American/Insane Car You Can Buy
There's really only two things you need to know about the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat: it may be the most American car you can buy right now, and it's absolutely, unrepentantly clamshit insane. The idea of a well-appointed four-door family car with enough power to liquify everyone you love is...

The Eight Speed Automatic Corvette Stingray Does Not Suck At All
Last week, the General Motors company sent me one of their . Only unlike every other Stingray I've driven so far, this one had two pedals instead of three. Normally, this outcome would plunge me into a deep existential crisis, like when I drove over the summer. This time was...

2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet: The Jalopnik Review
The Audi S5 Cabriolet is not a new car. Oh, the one I drove is new in the sense that it's a 2015 model, and the one I drove had fewer than 1,000 miles on it, but it's not really a new car. The current S5, like the A5 and...

For $6,000, This Custom Chevy Truck Is Your Halloween Haunt
Today is Halloween and as we all know, there's nothing scarier than SOMEONE ELSE'S PROJECT. That's not to say that today's home-brew truck isn't pretty trick, but will its price also prove to be a treat? There was something about yesterday's that really hit a nerve. Maybe it was the...

For $2,300, Is This 1977 Datsun F-10 An Effing Ten?
The Cherry-based F-10 was Datsun's first front-driver here in the U.S., popping their FWD cherry as it were. Today's F-10 isn't all that cherry, but maybe it'll be priced to pop. The hilarity of yesterday's outweighed the diminutive dragster's potentially one-trick pony car-ness and it came away with a respectable...

For $13,000, This 1977 Toyota Celica Liftback Packs A Punch
We're starting off the week with a Celica sporting a Lexus V8, freakin' louvers, and smilies on both ends. The question is, will this custom Japanese pony's price be enough to make you smile too? You've no doubt heard about how Apple Inc. has been locked in a bitter and...
