The New Aston Martin Vantage Is Already Here To Go Racing
The New Aston Martin Vantage Is Already Here To Go Racing-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:17

Aston Martin doesn’t waste time, it turns out. The same day the new drops, we also get its racing version, the Vantage GTE. It’s headed to the World Endurance Championship next year, and it keeps that loud and ridiculous neon green-yellow paint.

It makes sense Aston Martin would keep the GTE program going. The current V8 Vantage GTE is credited with 36 of the team’s 50 international race victories, including two 24 Hours of Le Mans class wins, Aston Martin says.

Like the road car, the GTE packs the AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. And the rest of the car has been worked over with stuff from Alcon and Öhlins and more to go racing.

As for drivers, Aston Martin says we can expect Darren Turner, Jonny Adam, Alex Lynn, Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen and potentially more behind the wheel for 2018.

Here, enough words. Look at the pretty pictures.
