The Toto Wolff Smash Is The Meme F1 Deserves Right Now
The Toto Wolff Smash Is The Meme F1 Deserves Right Now-February 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:24

Formula One is back! While we got a fascinating strategy battle early on at the too much of the race felt as if that “not enough passing” problem had been exacerbated by the 2017-spec cars. We need some cheering up in these dark times. We need a meme. Meet Rammstein’s new drummer, Toto Wolff.

Mercedes F1 executive director Toto Wolff released his frustration on a poor, unsuspecting tabletop when the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel popped out of the pits in front of Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari had taken advantage of how hard to pass the new wider cars are and built up a lead while Hamilton was stuck behind other traffic that was just enough for them to fit in a pit stop and never cede the lead. It was the decisive move of the race, and Wolff knew it.

Fortunately, the Wolff Smash was caught on the world broadcast feed for the race, and the Internet has since run with it, as the Internet tends to do.

Marvel at the wonders of Wolff playing drums for the Rammstein classic “Du Hast:”

Watch A Rolled Rally Car Come Back From The Dead In Just Three Hours
Sometimes I think that rally teams should be the only ones allowed to touch my car. If you want something fixed fast and right, you probably need Kris Meeke’s crew from the Citroën team. Meeke’s car looked like a write-off after a crash, yet it was back up and ready...

NASCAR’s Overtime Line Is Driving Me Insane
NASCAR’s Overtime Line Is Driving Me Insane
When NASCAR announced its in 2016, I had hopes for it. I thought a consistent line could help avoid controversy, unlike the old rule for cautions at the end of the race, and shushing conspiracy theorists about “rigged races” is almost always a positive. But then I saw the overtime...

This Racing Crash Will Make You Want To Wear 10 Layers Of Bubble Wrap
When watching this crash from the Pirelli World Challenge weekend at Virginia International Raceway, it’s hard to decide what’s wilder: how violently this race car tumbled off of the track, or the fact that the driver climbed right out of the car and was released from a nearby medical center....
