Watch Flame-Spitting Group B Rally Cars Race Each Other On Track
Watch Flame-Spitting Group B Rally Cars Race Each Other On Track-January 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:36

The only problem with Group B rally cars (other than the whole ‘’ part) was that rallying never gave them the opportunity to race wheel to wheel. Then came rallycross.

After Group B cars were banned from the WRC, they moved to rallycross competition, where they raced against each other with even more powerful engines than on rally stages.

The era of Group B rally cars fighting for top honors in (at least British) rallycross ended in 1993, finally catching up to the WRC’s homologation with Group A cars.

So watch this 1992 race at Lydden Hill, with Metro 6R4s bashing and banging against each other to the finish.

Group B cars still run classic events, but this was one of their last real competitive showings, fire-breathing and sideways as ever.

I Just Watched Cayman On Cayman Brutality And It Was Great
