Watch The Slick Dirt Of Eldora Speedway Have No Mercy On A NASCAR Truck
Watch The Slick Dirt Of Eldora Speedway Have No Mercy On A NASCAR Truck-January 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:30

What Eldora giveth, Eldora taketh away. There’s good reason why Eldora Speedway is one of the most notorious dirt tracks in the world. Bobby Pierce briefly took the lead from Kyle Larson during last night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, only to run wide, whack the wall, and end his race.

Pierce was a dominant force throughout the race before his meeting with the wall, but getting stuck in fourth gear led him to lose ground on a restart and hand Kyle Larson the lead. That forced Pierce’s attempt at a slide job to take the top spot back—and pray that another caution didn’t put him in the unfortunate restart position again—but the truck just kept on driving into the wall:

“Oh, you got the lead? Let me fix that for you.” - Eldora Speedway, noted sadist.

Pierce was okay after the shunt, however, for a second year in a row, he narrowly missed out on a win at NCWTS’ most delightfully sideways venue. Fellow who now usually races in an asphalt oval series known as “Sprint Cup” Kyle Larson ultimately took the win last night.
