Watch Will Power Wander Out Of His Lane In The Pits Like A Sleepy Prius Driver
Watch Will Power Wander Out Of His Lane In The Pits Like A Sleepy Prius Driver-March 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:32

IndyCar’s Will Power got sent to the back of the field for an unsafe release into the path of Tony Kanaan during today’s Indianapolis 500. From the onboard video, it just kind of looks like the driving of a sleepy grandma puttering outside her lane as sleepy grandmas do.

Either way, it’s an unexpected oops from one of IndyCar’s most experienced drivers.

What’s really going on here is that the inner lane closer to the pit stalls is meant as a transition lane to get up to speed. The outer lane is a fast lane, and Kanaan is clearly faster than Power here.
