Weekend Motorsports Roundup, April 9-10, 2016
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, April 9-10, 2016-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:33

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

There are a handful of live events going on this weekend, but you won’t have to worry about clogging the DVR like you did last time around—whether that’s a good thing or not, you can decide.

NASCAR is at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, with the Sprint Cup Series under the lights for the first official time this season for the Duck Commander 500. The Xfinity Series ran on Friday night, but and myself will be at the track—stay tuned to find out what kind of trouble we can get ourselves in. (That’s a joke. But if you happen to attend, find us and say hi.)

Next on the live list is the MotoGP World Championship, which also happens to be in Texas this weekend. The Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas will be just a few hours away from NASCAR at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, and will join MotoAmerica for the event. As far as the BeIN stream of the race, the weekend schedules aren’t easily found online. If you can find one, please share it in the comments. For now, here’s the BeIN .

Monster Energy Supercross is on the list as well, though it’s surprisingly not in Texas. The series will head to Indianapolis this weekend, and Ryan Dungey still has a strong lead in the points. (But if we based the season on style points, Clint Bowyer would have everyone beat after with some fellow NASCAR drivers a few weeks ago.)

Other than that, the tape-delayed showings this weekend include the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, Lucas Oil Modified Series, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Monster Jam, Red Bull X Fighters and the FIA World Rally Championship. If you know of anything else happening this weekend or of any additional live streams, feel free to share in the comments below.
