Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Dec. 12-13, 2015
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Dec. 12-13, 2015-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:36

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

As sad as it is to admit, we have officially entered into a world of tape-delayed television (for the time being). It’s the offseason for most of our beloved racing series, but there are plenty of motorsports showings this weekend to help cure the offseason blues.

Before you get hesitant, watching a rerun isn’t that bad. After all, you’d have to be superhuman in order to have caught all of these races already. Avoid finding the results on the internet and pretend the races are live. Treat yourself.

Saturday is a bit thin on showings, but Sunday is packed—including three straight hours of tape-delayed Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks. A glorious three hours. Set the DVRs now, folks. On a similar note, the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series will get a total of four hours on air this weekend.

If you missed out on the Lamborghini Super Trofeo finale or the V8 Supercars Sydney 500, both be on as well. As with most weekends, races from the Pro Motocross Championship and FIA World Rally Championship will also be on. Since the schedule is thin this weekend, we’ve included a couple of air times for the Mecum Auto Auctions for you.

As always, feel free to share any other race coverage you may know of this weekend. It’ll be a long couple of months without much racing, and we all know that an extra stream or two couldn’t hurt.

Welcome to the offseason (for the most part), folks. Be brave out there.

Kyle Larson has spent most of 2020 sitting on the Cup Series sidelines. After he used a racial slur during a just-for-fun iRace against other professional drivers, he’s found himself without sponsorship and without a NASCAR Cup Series ride. And while he’s finally coming out to apologize in the...

This Is How NASCAR Pulled Off A Full Season After Being Derailed By The Pandemic
When COVID-19 knocked the world off its equilibrium, I don’t think many of us expected that most racing series would manage to cobble together much of a season at all, let alone ensure that it would go ahead and contest exactly as many events as it originally intended. Somehow,...
