There may not be much racing going on this weekend, but that didn’t stop the big news from coming out on Friday: Nico Rosberg decided that after , . Huh? What? Is this real life?

In the world of stock-car racing, NASCAR got a new title sponsor for its top series. , but here’s the weird thing—they didn’t announce a name for the series yet. Until then, it’ll be known as the “NASCAR [Something Something Monster Energy] Series” by yours truly. It’s only fair.

Unfortunately, that’s most of the live entertainment for this week, and it already happened. There’s one live event going on this weekend, and it’s the 49th Annual . There will be a paid live stream of the event from Speed51, but . (Yes, those of you who are fans of journalistic ethics, a “news” outlet makes the media policies!)

But the Snowball Derby is a great race weekend, and as someone who’s attended the event four years in a row, my heart aches to not be there to cover it for you all . I am not the only one who decided against covering it this year because of the media policies, and I sincerely hope for the future of short-track racing that changes will be made. The times for the broadcast are below, should you want to tune in.
