Weekend Motorsports Roundup: Feb. 23-24, 2013-June 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:50

Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

NASCAR! IT'S BACK! THIS WEEKEND! Yes, after enduring the long, harsh winter, we finally have some decent live racing back on real TV again. Fantastic news for all of us.

Obviously, the big draw this weekend will be the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Danica Patrick made history last weekend when she took the pole position for the race. Will she be able to turn that into a win?

There's also the Nationwide cup and Supercross, plus the Ferrari Challenge race from earlier this year, so it looks like we'll have one of the best days of televised motorsports we've seen in a while. Good for us.

As always, let us know about anything we missed, or about good livestreams out there, in the comments.

NASCAR’s Overtime Line Is Driving Me Insane
NASCAR’s Overtime Line Is Driving Me Insane
When NASCAR announced its in 2016, I had hopes for it. I thought a consistent line could help avoid controversy, unlike the old rule for cautions at the end of the race, and shushing conspiracy theorists about “rigged races” is almost always a positive. But then I saw the overtime...
