Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Jan. 10-11, 2015-December 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:46

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

Finally, motorsports are back! Sort of. Okay, so, there's at least some testing going on. That's something. The Roar Before the 24 continues all weekend, with . Here's a from last year, starring Fluffy Bunny. Basically, it's a big ol' track day for the IMSA endurance racers. You can't watch it online per se, but you can at least keep an eye on live timing and tell who some of the faster teams (who aren't sandbagging) are before the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Currently, the Chip Ganassi Ford DP is the fastest overall.

Fun one-off races tend to happen this time of year, too, and the Chili Bowl is no exception. from RennSport last year in case you've never heard of it, but it's 400-horsepower in tiny 1,000-pound cars on a Tulsa indoor 1/4-mile dirt oval. It's pure insanity and America. In addition to the TV broadcast on MAVTV Saturday, the Chili Bowl has nightly pay-per-view features up on .

Formula E's odd over-winter schedule continues this weekend as well with a race in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm starting to think they've got this scheduling thing down right. Wouldn't we all rather be somewhere in the southern hemisphere as opposed to freezing our huevos off up here? It's even cold this weekend in Texas, and that sucks. I should've gone to Formula E.

Of course, the biggest race happening in South America right now is the , which continues through this weekend. Be sure to follow in addition to the usual of each stage. Our man on the ground Andrew P. Collins is having far more fun than any human being should ever be allowed to have. Ever.

Here's the complete rally stage schedule for the 2015 Dakar Rally, as provided by Robby Gordon's…

Dakar has a live information stream with video highlights on , with additional coverage on in addition to all the other usual ways to follow it.
