Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Jan. 2-3, 2016
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Jan. 2-3, 2016-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:36

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

It’s 2016, but the motorsports coverage remains on repeat for the time being. That’s so last year, right? But tape-delayed coverage is what we’re all stuck with for the next month, so avoid looking at results on the internet and pretend like the showings are live. Get yourself warmed up for the new season and such.

There isn’t much on this list this weekend, but the normal lineup of Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series and FIA World Rally Championship competition will be on alongside a few showings of the Red Bull Air Race and Red Bull X-Fighters.

Since the schedule is fairly light, listed are some smaller events like the American Sprint Car Series and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to hold you through the weekend. In addition to that, it’s time for the season previews—this weekend, those include Supercross and Monster Jam.

As always, feel free to share anything else you know of going on this weekend in the comments below.

How To Handle A Formula One Press Conference You Don't Want To Attend
Most racing press conferences are pointless. Drivers rarely say anything more detailed than “our car feels really quick,” or “we have a five-place grid penalty, but we’re going to make the most of it.” We here at Jalopnik get bored of them, too! Here’s how we would handle the monotonous...
