Weekend Motorsports Roundup, June 15-16, 2013
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, June 15-16, 2013-March 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:50

Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

This weekend's unbearable lightness of racing is a continuation from last week's racing-light schedule, as the air begins to buzz around the Circuit de la Sarthe in France. The lightness is particularly felt in races that involve four wheels and turns in two directions, with the Rolex Sports Car Series at Mid-Ohio providing pretty much the only available fare of that nature.

In terms of Two Wheels Bad, however, there is the MotoGP race in Catalunya (or Catalonia to us Yanks), which certainly promises to be a great race as its a favorite track of mine, and if its my favorite then it will be good because I say so. So there.

Back here in the States, there's Indy racing in Wisconsin, drag racing in Tennessee, and NASCAR in Michigan. Speaking of NASCAR, we should all do our best this weekend to remember , who unfortunately passed away this week in an accident while racing in New Jersey. Race on, Jason. You will be missed.

NASCAR driver Jason Leffler was gravely injured in a horrific Sprint Car crash at Bridgeport…

Of course, please use our new-ish (and still fancy-ish) image annotation tool on the map above to show us races we might have missed, where they're being held, and where we can livestream them. Get it while it's good.

All times Eastern.
